"Perfect clarity, perfect control - these are the keys to true power. To know yourself is to gain victory."[1][FRPG:48]

Coronal Guard, also known as armathors in Elven, are the students of an exclusive eladrin swordmage tradition which tries to blur the line of martial and arcane fighting styles. Where the anarchs of Shyr have a furious and flamboyant style using the Elemental Chaos, the Coronal Guard style remains graceful as elven battle techniques are being employed.[1][FRPG:48]

Coronal Guard Path Features

Swordshield Action (11th level): When an armathor spends an action point to take an extra action, they gain a minor bonus to all defenses for a short duration.[1][FRPG:48]

Improved Silver Shield (11th level): When an armathor uses their aegis of shielding, they gain a number of temporary hit points. At 21st level, this value increases.[1][FRPG:48]

Improved Swordmage Armor (16th level): The an armathor's Swordmage Warding bonus increases by a minor amount.[1][FRPG:48]

Coronal Guard Spells

Countering Thunderclap (11th-level Attack): An encounter-based interrupt that causes the armathor to emit a close-ranged burst as they clap their hands like thunder to aid an ally. The creature that attacked the armathor takes thunder damage, is pushed away from the armathor, and potentially causes the creature to miss the attack.[1][FRPG:48]

Dragon Scales (12th-level Utility Power): A daily minor action that causes the armathor to gain a minor bonus to their Armor Class for set duration during an encounter or until being knocked unconscious.[1][FRPG:48]

Avaunt Foe (20th-level Attack): A daily action as part of a melee attack that deals additional damage. The attack also hurls the target through dimensions on a hit or miss.[1][FRPG:48]
